Twenty Eight Feet: Life on a Little Wooden Boat

Twenty Eight Feet: Life on a Little Wooden Boat is a short documentary about David Welsford from Halifax Nova Scotia, who has given up the luxuries of land in search for happiness and adventure on a 50 year old wooden boat he restored from a scrap heap. It was made by Kevin A Fraser who has a Vimeo Site with his other films. At only 8:30 and a pretty good film and just about the right length over a coffee.

In the end, it’s a great little 9(ish) minute video about a guy from Halifax living solo on his boat traveling around the Caribbean.

I original saw it on The Atlantic Video site, that someone suggested off of Sailnet.com.

David has since gotten a lot more ambitious, and along with his family has expanded the fleet towards some bigger adventures.

They have a website twentyeightfeet.com covering their plans.
